What Fire Clock covers — and what it refuses

Fire Clock would rather show an explicit gap than a plausible incomplete answer. These are the boundaries, stated plainly so people and machines quote them correctly.

In scope (v1)

  • England only
  • Fire-safety obligations between fire risk assessments
  • Statutory duties under the Fire Safety Order 2005 and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, labelled as statutory
  • Recognised good-practice cadences, labelled as good practice
  • Append-only event log and hashed evidence
  • Evidence pack export
  • Daily digest with an independent heartbeat

Out of scope

  • Wales and Scotland
  • Buildings 18 metres or taller — returned as unsupported, not silently under-served
  • Building Safety Regulator duties for high-rise
  • Asbestos tracking
  • Legionella tracking
  • Training records
  • Writing or generating fire risk assessments
  • Any large language model calls inside the product

Wording rule

Fire Clock never states or implies that a good-practice obligation puts a user in breach of the law. Good-practice items are described as due or overdue against the cadence their assessor set. Statutory items are described as required by the named law.

Not legal advice

Fire Clock is compliance tracking software. It is not a substitute for a competent fire risk assessment, legal advice, or the judgement of an enforcing authority.
